Did I Miss by Gregg Hake
Did I miss the winter, longing for the sun?
Did I miss the morning, wishing for the day?
Did I miss my childhood, yearning for the bloom?
Did I miss this moment, tell me not I pray.

You can wish your life away if your not careful. I often remind myself to drink in the moment and not only at the milestones. Enjoy this day! It’s the first day of the rest of my life!
Breathe in each moment with great passion and joy. That we might not miss the gift that she holds in her hands!
thank you.
I’d love to see this piece released on a wider scale – well put!
It takes courage to acknowledge that I may have missed some moments. But their is always the opportunity to face that fact and make the internal changes necessary to truely give meaning to ones life. Lovely little poem, thank you Gregg.
I think that each moment really has its own unique flavor, and it is part of the beauty of life to be able to move from one to the next with fluid grace and thankfulness.
